puppy gaging

My 8 weeks old teacup poodle is gaging and kind of sounds like couhh. we recently got her 5 days ago and her a bath on tueday and that when she delevelope this gaging and cough like. what is it?

Hi Desiree,

You should take your puppy to a veterinarian. If she hasn't been to the veterinarian for an exam since you adopted her, she would've needed to go anyway to get started on booster vaccines. Coughing can be caused by many things - bordetella (aka kennel cough), throat irritation, an upper respiratory infection,... the list goes on forever. I doubt it is related to the bath. The only answer I can give you is to have her checked out.
