Question
How do you get rid of saliva stains on a white coat and what is the best dog shampoo for whitening a dogs coat

Answer
Hello Robert,

Saliva stains are caused by licking and that needs to be address.  Usually an allergy is the reason for the behavior.  I suggest you order NuVet Plus.  Give two wafers daily until you see the results you are looking for and then continue to give one daily to maintain good health.  If you dog weights over 100lbs give three wafers instead of two. I guarantee this to work or your money back.  Call 1-800-474-7044 and use order code 42299 tell them Susan at Spotts Grooming told you to ask about how to save 15% on your order.

The stain itself is very hard to get out, in fact, most of the time it needs to be trimmed out.  Is your dog one that has a haircut every 5 weeks or so?  If yes, then by the time you get the allergy under control the hair will be long enough to be trimmed away so no more rust colored stain.  The shampoo to use in between regular grooming should be one for white haired dogs.  Look for a brightening or a bluing shampoo.

Please let me know how this helps your dog.  You can email me personally at: info@spottsgrooming.com
