Is it safe to give nursing dogs worm medicine while nursing?

With only a few exceptions you should avoid using all medications in pregnant and nursing dogs.

If you have concerns regarding a specific dewormer, you can either call the product's manufacturer (most dewormers have a toll free phone number) or call your vet. Your vet should be able to recommend a brand of wormer that's safe to give a nursing female dog and her puppies.
