Dog flipping

Question
I have a miniature pinscher. I've taken him to TWO different vets, one regular, one a 'specialist' one said he had a brain tumor, the 'specialist' said no, an inflammation in his cerebellum(spelling?) and put him on some steroids that did NOTHING for him. My dog has 'fits' I've seen videos of seizures and the only similarity there is, is the vibrating of the eyes. My dog 'flips' instead of shakes. If you've ever seen those rotaters that people put like pigs on to cook them? it looks like my dog was stuck on one of those on hyper-fast speed. His body sort of turns inward and he just starts actually flipping. It's really scary and he usually breaks things. When I'm around i have to grab him and hold him down. He walks funny now, mostly sideways and shakes a lot more (as if trying to get water off) than usual. HELP!? all the vets on here are 'on vacation' or 'maxed out' i don't know what else to do. i saw a show on TV that gave the dog somewhat like mine phenabarbatol...but i cant find any real literature on it. He's about 7 years old and the most important thing in my life...i don't know what to do. :-(

Answer
I am so sorry. If he has inflamation in the cerebellum, what is causing it? You need not only to treat the symptoms but find the cause. If it's an infectin an antibiotic could save his life. Take him to a different vet ASAP. Get in the phone book and CALL. Talk to the vets and vet techs at every single vet office you can reach. Give them a short synopsis., just as you just gave me and as if they think they can help you. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT unless they say YES we think we can. If they say NO ask for a recommendation. I don't know if pheno would help, it is primarily for epilepsy which is not what this sounds like. Try the AKC kennel club in your area also for vet reccomendations, if you have a vet's school in your state that will be your BEST bet and your dog's best shot. Do it quickly! And get back to me PLEASE let me know how he's doing.
