Answer
Hi Lacy;
She should have at least 3 feedings a day, and 4 would be better.
From the time they are weaned, and go on food, I feed 4 times a day until 6 months old, the 3 times till they are about 1 year old, and twice a day for the rest of their lives.
Yep, she is hungry.
Feed a good dog food.
Iams, Science diet, Walthams, Eukenauba, and Natural choice are good brands.
They have all the nutrients, and the diffetrent formulas for the different agea.
Your puppy should still be on the puppy formula.
The dog food brands you buy in the stores have fillers in them.
These are non-nutritive ingredients that just fill up the bag so it looks like you get more for your money.
You have to feed larger portions too, so penny for penny, it averages out just about with the really GOOD brands.
Also, with the brands I mentioned, they have none of these fillers, so there is less volumn of food eaten, and less waste to scoop up.
The food bag will have a feeding chart by age and eweight, and all the information you need for when to switch formulas.
Also a good site for a lot of good information on feeding, and generally caring for dogs is    www,dogage.com
Write any time you feel I can help.
