How much should a Corgi drink?

We have an adorable 7 month old Pembroke Corgi who is very healthy is all respects,but whenever we give him his water with his food, he drinks as if he's never had water before! We feed him twice a day the recommended amount of food and give him water after all of his walks. Since he is still a puppy, the vet said to control his amount of water and that will control the accidents in the house. How much should he be drinking?

Your puppy should have water at least every two hours if not more. He is drinking a lot because he is afraid he isn't going to get anymore. Better to water him more often and take him out more often. Dogs drink a LOT of water per pound and it's very bad for them not to have it. You might want to have him checked out to be sure he is worm free and healthy. Some kinds of parasites cause heavier than normal water drinking as well
