Question
Hi there,

I am not sure how much experience you have in this field, but what should i do about a dog that has injured paw. My dog was recently out swimming on the beach, but there was a lot of shells there. The shells seemed to cut him and his paws are red at places. He licks them alot also. My question is this. My dog is acting fine, and is happy and also plays and runs fine. The wound is also getting better. He still runs around etc. So i need to do anything to prevent  this from getting worse or is this one of those things that get patched up by themselves. I hope you can help.

Answer
Hi Rim,
You may want to try putting a little neosporin on it, but chances are your dog will just lick it off.
I think it will probably patch itself up ok.  Check it every day to make sure, though.  If it doesn't clear up, then you may need to take him to the Vet for antibiotics, but I really think he will probably be fine.

God Bless,
Becky
