Yorkie kibble

Question
Our 3.7 lb., 3 yr; old female healthy Yorkie likes all kinds of high quality small
breed kibble, BUT, they don't all like her. 1) All grains make her itch badly. 2)
Protien over 21% and fat over 14% makes her throw up. It takes 2-3 days and
she doesn't upchuck the food but bile, as if her stomach in irritated. Any
recommendation for a low fat, under 21% protein kibble? Royal Canine LF has
grain, natural-organic-no grain kibble is too high in protein, and most others
have rice....  Thanks, Terri

Answer
Hi Terri
Have you tried Solid Gold Holistic Blendz Adult Maintenance? It's really for senior dogs and therefor has a lower protein level.
Try something from Wellness or Natural Balance in a grain free., senior food, or large breed puppy. Your protein levels will be lower and hopefully it'll suit her better. You might have to break up the kibble in a large breed puppy but I think it would be worth the effort. Flint River also has a good one.
I would also try feeding her smaller meals, more often. Every couple of hours would be ideal. Especially make sure she has a snack just before bed and as soon as she wakes up in the morning,
Let me know how she does
