Question
I HAVE 4 SIBERIAN HUSK. THAT GO OUTSIDE BUT ARE ALSO INSIDE A PART OF THE TIME.WE HAVE INVISIBLE FENCE. HAS WORKED GREAT UNTIL LAST YEAR,THAN MY 8YR OLD DOG STARTED RUNNING THROUGH, AND WILL NOT STOP.IT IS LIKE A GAME SHE GETS OUT AND WONT COME HOME TILL SHE IS GOOD AND READY. HAVE CHASED HER ALL OVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD. HAD FENCE CHECKED, COLLAR CHECKED, HAD HER RETRAINED. NOTHING IS WORKING.  HAD AN OUTSIDE KENNEL BUILT FOR HER 20'X 24'SHE NOW HAS TO GO OUT IN THAT, BUT LAST NIGHT BOLTED OUT OF IT BEFORE HER LEASH GOT PUT ON.SHE RAN STRAIT OVER TO THE NEWER NEIGHBORS AND TRIED TO PLAY WITH THEIR SM. DOG- AND IT STARTED YELPING. THEY CALLED THE POLICE AND WE WERE CITED FOR NOT KEEPING THE DOG IN THE YARD. THE NEIGHBOR SAID SHE ATTACKED THEIR LITTLE DOG.WENT OVER THIS MORNING TO CHECK ON THE LITTLE 8 POUND DOG..NOT A SCRATCH..IF SHE WANTED TO HURT HIM, HE WOULD BE GONE.  AND TO APOLOGIZE. I TOLD HER THAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING EVERYTHING TO KEEP HER CONTAINED.NON OF THE OTHER DOGS LEAVE THE YARD, BUT I'M AFRAID IF SHE KEEPS IT UP THEY WILL.  I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO I DON'T WANT TO GET RID OF HER, BUT I AM AT MY WITS END.

Answer
Either put in a real fence or put a second gate in your kennel run (a second bit of fencing with a second gate around the primary gate). With that, it should be impossible for her to slip out as long as you keep closing the gates behind you.

I hate invisible fencing! Once a dog goes through it, it will not return and risk getting shocked again. You are lucky your dog is still alive and hasn't been struck by a car yet.

One thing you might do is have her thyroid checked. I have a friend with a sibe that constantly tried to get out of her yard, and would spend hours running back and forth along the fence. The dog had no other symptoms, but when the thyroid was checked, she was hypothyroid, and once put on meds, she began to behave like a normal dog and no longer tried to run.
