Congrats on getting a new puppy!

I really can't tell you what a vet exam for a puppy might cost. Veterinary fees vary depending on where you happen to live.

Calling around to all the vets in your area, and asking what is the cost for "puppy wellness" shots and exams, is really the only way of finding out what's the average cost is, and who is the least expensive in your area.  Also contact your local animal shelter or Humane Association. Many times they know of reduced cost vet clinics in their areas.  

If you are really concerned about the extra costs of what unexpected medical care can cost, start an extra savings account and put a little bit in it each month. Keep this account only for vet expenses, and your pet will always have a slush fund at the ready! Putting away as little as $5 a week, can really help when something unexpected happens... and it always does!
