My 4 1/2 yr old cocker spaniel...

My 4 1/2 yr old cocker spaniel has recently lost the hair around her left eye.  The eye appears to be red.  any thoughts?

Hi Patti,
Could she have injured her eye?  The hair loss and red eye sound like a recent injury.  I would keep an eye on it, and if it gets worse or infected, take her to a vet.  It may not be anything, but watch it just in case.
