Question
After coming home from work today my 7 yr old step-son left with my 16 yr daughter found a way to injury my pomeranian's paw I see swelling on the top of his paw and he will not let me touch it and bit my husband when he tried to wrap it what do you suggest he also will not walk on it but it does not appear to be broken but I am no expert

Answer
Hi Jacqueline, I do apologize for the delay in getting back to you.  If a dog does not put any weight on a limb after and injury a lot of times that signifies a break.  If the dog will limp and actually put weight on it a little, then it is normally a sprain or strain.  If he is putting weight on it, then rest is the most important thing, do not wrap it as it needs to have normal blood flow and free movement, you just don't want the dog to overexert themselves once it is injured.  If the dog is not putting any weight on it, then it needs to be x-rayed to make sure it is not broken.  Hope this helps, and I hope your husband is ok.
