Oral Mast Cell Tumors

My 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Fiona, had a mast cell tumor removed from her tongue. Our vet said he had never seen a MCT on a tongue before. We are currently treating her with prednisone. Radiation was suggested, but we thought that the pred treatment was best in this situation.Have you ever dealt with MCTs? I was wondering what your thoughts on this are.
