Hi Susan;
They need the same prenatal care pregnant humans need.
They should be examined by their Veterinarian, and they should be put on a dog food formula for pregnant females.
If you are feeding the grocery store dog foods, you should lookat the better brands'
Have her examined by her Veterinarian to make sure everything is ok at this point, and follow his/her advice for feeding, and any other directions your Veterinarian gives you.
It is just as serious for animals as it is for humans.
Tru; they have been having babies for centuries without a doctor's care, but so did himans.
