potty training my male sheltie

Question
I am having lots of problems patty training my 4 month old male sheltie. He was at my parents house for about  a month and a half, he was starting to get the potty training down, they have a big fenced in yard and we don't so I have been taking him out side on a leash or chaining him up outside for about 15 minutes at a time, but as soon as he comes back in the house he just goes on the floor! I really love him alot and will not get rid of him but I am so frustrated.....So if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Gina Rauen and Baily the puppy:)

Answer
When you take the puppy outside and he does not potty, he must be put back into his crate rather than leaving him loose in the house. Try him again in a half hour or so.

Some dogs don't like to potty on a leash, so you either have to be very persistent and praise him profusely when he does go outside, or you could get an exercise pen and set that up in the yard by the door for him to run around loose in.
