mini pin puppy

We just brought home our nine week puppy yesterday.  He isn't eating or playing.  All he wants to do is sleep.  When we go to him, he wags his tail and rolls over to have us pet him, so I thinks he likes us!!   My question is, is this normal for a dog to sleep so much and not be hungry or want to play.  He just looks so comfortable on his new soft bed, catching the rays from the fireplace. Is it just that he is still a baby that still needs to sleep alot.  He ate yesterday when we hand fed him, which we probably shouldn't have done, but I wanted him to get some kind of nourishment.  He ate a few mouthfuls this morning, but nothing else.  He just wants to sleep. Is he just missing his family?  Are we doing something wrong?

It is hard to say how any one puppy reacts to its new home.  At the first sign of diarrhea, get him to the vet.  Find one, even if it is Sunday night.  It could be parvo, often fatal without fast treatment.  

If he still isn't showing more life by Monday, better see the vet.  Normally they eat anything they can get and alternate between frantic activity and crashing.
