My sick dog

My mom rescued our dog from the pound when he was 6 months old.He is part Great Pyranees and part something else which we arent sure of. We have had him for almost 8 years now. Just recently we noticed he looked sick. He has 2 lumps or bumps on his throat. He hasnt been eating and he has no energy he just lays around when he was once a very active dog. Just today I saw him vomit. I dont know how often he has been doing this as he is an outside dog. What could be the problem?

Hi Julia,

The vomiting can mean nothing more than your dog has an empty stomach.

Those lumps could be swollen lymph nodes.  Lymph nodes can be enlarged for many reasons including infections and cancers.

Or, it could be any number of other things. What's the use of guessing? Your dog deserves better than guesswork, please have him examined by your veterinarian.
