Puppy leaking mucus

Hi - I just got an 8 month old puppy and right before I got her she was spayed.  However, now she is leaking a mucus-like substance, along with possibly urine, out of her butt. I don't know what to do to stop the leaking, or if she needs to go to a vet right away. Please help advice me with what to do.  Thanks!

I would  imagine that your dog is having some liquid diarrhea, and not leaking urine from her rear-end.

Many times a dog will have a mucus along with diarrhea.
You didn't say how long ago your dog was spayed. This could be due to the surgery, if she was spayed fairly recently. It also might be a case of Colitis. Loose stool, mucus and an increased frequency of needing to go to the bathroom, which could include "leaking", are all symptoms.

If this has been going on for more than 24 hours, you should contact your vet's office.
