Rarity of dog

Dear Patt,

I have been told that my Samoyed, Sheltie mix is a rare dog because he has two yellow eyes.  Is this true?

Those we call Amber eyes, unless they are truly YELLOW!
If it were a purebred it would be a rare breed, there is even a registry for rare dogs that are purebreds, but the AKC does not recognize them to register papers on the dog.
It is most likely it got them because of the cross of each dog mixing making it so different, I would love a photo. Send to shepforu@adelphia.net, I will post it on my site for people to see also.
