Question
Hi Becky,

I have 2 questions to ask you.

1.Could you please give me a list of annual vaccinations I should give my dog annually and other products that will make him stronger, bulkier, and more healthy in general.

2.My dog is part of a big family, so he is used to getting a lot of treats and eats them as entire meals. He doesn't eat his dryfood and may eat if mixed with something else. How can I get him to switch to only eating his own food. By the way, we leave his bowl out for the entire day.

Answer
Hello Jodh!

Every year, your dog should be vaccinated against Rabies, Distemper,Leptospirosis,Hepatitis,Corona and Parvo viruses.
The Rabies would be one vaccine, and all of the others would be in a separate vaccine. These are very important to keep your dog healthy.   He should be dewormed , or at least checked for worms yearly.  He needs to be checked for heartworms and put on a monthly prevention pill.

As far as his diet goes.  It's going to be almost impossible to get him to eat his food if everyone gives him treats.  It would be like a small child given a choice of a candy bar or a balanced meal......which one do you think the child would choose?  You will have to limit the treats for him to eat his regular food, that's all there is to it.  I know that's easier said that done!

God Bless,
Becky
