Housebreaking while working

Question
I'd like to get a puppy early next year - specifically a cockapoo. My concern however is how to housetrain a new puppy if I am working. I plan to take a week off after getting the puppy to spend time with them and work on training. I'll also have a dog walker come in once a day to take the puppy out.
I've read that a puppy can't hold their bladder for more hours than their month of age. If I get a puppy at 2 months old, what tips, ideas or schedule can I use to get the puppy trained so it will be ok while I'm at work and still learn housebreaking?

Answer
If you have a dog walker giving the dog a mid day break, everything should be fine.  I have never had any problems with even younger puppies going 4-5 hours. You can even add something to the crate floor to hold the puppy up out of accidents at first.  The grids they sell for the purpose are expensive and hard to find.  I used a piece of closely spaced wire closet shelving for several puppies until it fell apart.  For my now 11 week old Holly, I bought a vegetable storage bin and drilled the bottom full of holes.  She hardly gave it a test, only a couple of accidents in the crate at first.  Must get a picture of it up on the net.

You might try an older dog from www.petfinder.org or http://www.akc.org/breeds/rescue.cfm
