Question
Dear Karen, My dog, a westhighland terrier is 11 years old.
About 12 months ago her womb was removed, in recent months
she seems to be urinating alot and doing it whereever she
likes, before she would have scrope at the door are brought
it to our attention that she needed to go outside. I am
seriously worried about this and wonder if you can offer
any light on the situation as at the moment vetinary bills
are something which i am unable to deal with.
Thanking You,
Padraig Wilson McCarthy.

Answer
This sounds like it could be a bladder infection... or maybe just incontinence due to her age. Either way, she would need to be diagnosed by a veterinarian. A bladder infection can be cleared up with antibiotics, and there are drugs to help with incontinence also. Talk to your vet about the possibility of paying a little bit each month until the bill is paid off.
