Agressive French Bulldog

Question
I have a 1 year old neutered French Bulldog. He is very well-behaved, loves my children, and loves our neighbors dog. He had always been very stranger friendly until we recently relocated. Now he is very aggressive toward any strangers including children. At this point I cannot even take him to the park because anyone that walks by he growls and becomes very defensive. Any suggestions on how to correct his behavior?

Answer
Moving is traumatic for a dog.  Try to arrange for people new to him to give him treats.

Are you giving him good leadership?  The key to most behavior problems is approaching things using the dog's natural instincts. Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog. Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones. You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat.
