Answer
Hi Thomas,

You have to train a dog to walk nicely on a leash, they don't just "know it". Here's how to do it:

At 6 months old, your dog is probably full of bad habits. You have to offer plenty of praise, and not yell at your dog while training him. He wants to please you, he just doesn't know what you want.

If you have trouble training your dog, enrolling in a dog obedience class is the fastest way of getting control over your dog. You will learn how to control your dog, and your dog will learn how to obey.

Best of luck,

Patti
