Scooting rump on carpet and potty pad

Hi. I have a 13 week old Chihuahua that just started "scooting" his bottom on the carpeting and his potty pad. The breeder said the litter had been wormed and I have not noticed anything unusual with his stools.  Could this still be worms?  And is he to young to be having anal gland problems?

Scooting is generally one of the symptoms of anal gland problems. While it is not common in a puppy this young, I have certainly had to express a puppy on occasion over the years. Take him in to your vet to be expressed, and maybe ask them to show you how to do it yourself, too, in case it needs to be done again in the future.
