My pugs constant itching

Question
My pug is 2 years old, and he itches very often.  We saw 3 different vets.  One suggested an anti-hystamine which may have helped a little, but not too much.  The second suggested trying different diets or giving him steroids.  We did not want to go the steroid route, so we tried getting away from chicken and meat, and went to a fish diet.  He has also only been on Avoderm Lamb before we switched to Fromm Salmon and Fromm Whitefish.  These 2 brands are supposed to be excellent.  He then started scooting.  The vet checked his anal sacs and emptied them (they were impacted, but not infected).  The scooting continued however, and the second time the vet checked the anal sacs, they were empty.  We then went to a third vet and decided to do an allergy test (pretty expensive).  The results came back negative to everything!  Then the 2nd vet said allergy tests did not work well on food allergies, so he suggested we try Science Diet Z/D.  Still didn't help.  He still itches a lot and wakes us up at night.  His stools have actually become a little softer since he's been on SD Z/D.  And lately, he's been scratching his ears a lot.  They are red, but don't look infected, and do not smell.  I have to admit the only thing I didn't give up is his chicken jerky treat we give him when we leave the house in the morning... I just can't completely cut all his treats...  He's too cute...  Please help!

Answer
Hello, Classic allergies, Try a bag of Blue Bufflo Fish and sweet potato my two terriers have been on this for about 6 months now if not longer and there allergies have inproved very much. Get a pack of Benadryl allergy pills Twenty Five ML(25 ML) from your locale drug store these are the normal allergy pills and not those for kids. Give him one every Twelve(12) to Twenty Four(24) hours depending on how bad he is with his itchiness...I will warn you itching the ears gets them scarred bloody and infected with Yeast so the allergy pills do help with that and help pervent the yeast infectios I've noticed. The pills were first reccomended by my vet with my jack russell terrier when he broke out in allergies then for my labrador retreier who had gotten canine acne and for my bostont erreir when she came out in allergies(Are we cursed ?!? lol because I'm allergtic to something as well and take reactin extra strenth every night!). Look at his bedding as well make sure to wash the in a hypo allergtic soap or no soap at all just an extra wash...dryer sheets can be an allergy inducer also...dont use them or again if you can find hypo allergtic ones go for it. Some dogs are allegic to pastics plastic bowls the dogs chin rubs against while eatting or plastic toys can cause problems but I cant take my dogs nyla bones away they'd kill me! Somedogs are allergic to grass...i'veheard several stories of this with people emailing on what to do...after they had the testing done and found out there pooch was allergic to grass! poor pups. I give my dogs whatever treat they like..but low calorie lol....I still give my dogs rawhides...or a hard biscut now and then...bt tehre Are fish treats too I've seen them...dryed salmon or hard ones with fish in them in ne or two brands. Stay away from chicken/beef/pork/lamb/rabbit/deer or other stick with fish and potato diets for allergy stricken dogs it really heps. Carpet powders and perfume sprays can have an affet on dogs aswell...try to avoid them or at lest strong ones.
