Question
Hello,
I have 2 wheaton terriors almost 3 years old and one of them has started to eat wood,ie sticks and wood mulch and furniture legs. He has a variety of chew toys and he is given a special treat when we leave them. What can I do?

Answer
As for the sticks, I would let him chew them and hope for the best.  Usually they are old enough they just crumble rather than splinter.  Keep lumber scraps away form him.  Furniture legs area problem.  Even the best supervision will still leave the legs with unsightly scars.  You could try Bitter Apple.  I know a professional dog trainer that has pieces of plastic pipe over her table and chair legs.
