AnswerHello BJ, It is a matter of preference. I would say that if it looks more cocker then yes, more bichon then no. But most vets cut the tail off when the puppies are 3 to 4 days old. Some vets will not do them after that age. But if you happen to have one that is no longer a newborn and you decide to get the dog spayed or neutered then maybe at that time the vet will accommodate you. Basically it is totally your choice.
