My lulu lost her puppies

My Lulu lost her puppies, she had a bad birth, she has been sad but now she cries and goes to sleep in my closet. Then she looks for ma and cries and makes me walk with her to the closet. She sleeps all the time, so unlike her. I took her to the vet but they can't tell me anything.

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of Lulu's puppies.

Lulu will probably seem under the weather for several weeks. Fever, localized pain and tiredness quite commonly occur after a miscarriage.

The most common cause of miscarriage is Brucellosis (a bacterial infection) which as well as miscarriage can cause still birth, sterility and other complications. There are also other infections that could have caused the miscarriage and may require a course of antibiotics to eliminate the infection.

If your dog continues to not act like herself,  I would recommend taking her back to the vet. There is a possibility that she'll need to be x-rayed to see if she still has pups in her womb, or she may need a course of antibiotics.
