do I have to put my 2 dogs down?

I have two 5 yr old chihuahua mix dogs both male and their mother 6 1/2 yr old.  6 months ago my friend left her 6 month old shepard with my dogs and we went away for a few days.  My niece was suppose to check on the dogs twice a day but failed to do so.  When we came home we found that the shepard had been attached and had 27 puncture wounds and his scalp half off.  My friend was very upset and so was I.  I paid the vet bill.  On Christmas day I left my 7 month old kitten with my three dogs and came home to find my cat who usually sleeps with me and my dogs dead.  Do I have to have the males put down for killing my cat?  I want to take them to Pet N Pals for adoption but because they have already showed agression and as my friend says"tasted blood" that I need to get rid of them.  She wanted me to do this when they attacked her Shepard but I love them and couldn't do it.  I told her about losing my cat and she says that she will turn me in if I don't put them down.  She says if they get out they could hurt a child.  Do I call the vet to have them put down???  Please advise.

Being aggressive with people is very different from being aggressive with animals,some dogs hate other animals,but are great in a home without other pets,and some dogs are dangerous with people,but great with other dogs

If the dogs have been alright with people,often a shelter will just place them in an animal free home

However,it may still be difficult to place dogs with such a history,I cannoty tell you to put them down or try to rehome them,it's a difficult choice but it is YOUR choice and your choice alone and no one else's

It would be different if it was a child the dogs had attacked,in that case,yes the dogs should be put down-it is very common for dogs to kill cats,even ones they are raised with as they view them with prey
