My dog is scared of hardwood floors!

We adopted our dog a little over a week ago. She is a lab, about 2 years old. She was a little skiddish on the hardwood floors but has since slid a few times so now she is terrified. When forced to walk across them, she tries to go fast and then slides even worse. Now she stays in the same room all the time unless my husband carries her. PLEASE HELP!! How can we get her used to the floors?

Well what you can do at first is put a few towels or blankets down,just so she can get used to going into the room,then slowly remove them,you can also try offering her a treat to come onto the floor

This is a fairly common problem for dogs that have never been on a hard surface before-they usualy adjust in time
