Question
He is a year and a half old..I also have a rottweiler..our problem is we cant ever take him anywhere due to he is so strong and aggressive he pulls us everywhere.  We used to have both dogs in our front yard until he started leaping over the fence. We have tried walking both dogs, however if our Rott gets ahead of him he freaks out and pulls us..I am now thinking what I can do..we took him to petsmart puppy training and nothing has changed.  I love him but feel as though I shouldnt keep an animal I cant control..PLEASE HELP

Answer
Part of the solution is being in charge.  ''You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat. Start at http://www.dogsbestfriend.com/  For more on being top dog, see http://www.dogbreedinfo.com./topdogrules.htm'' Labman  It doesn't sound like the Petsmart class did the job.

It sounds like a head collar would be a big help too.  The leading brands are Promise,  Haltie, and Gentle Leader.  They have a strap going around the dogs nose looking something like a muzzle.  They work by pulling the dogs head around.  No other way gives you such great control with so little force.  The prong collar is now a dangerous relic of value only for its macho looks.  Do not consider using one
without hands on instruction from somebody with plenty of experience with them.
