4yr old german shepherd

hi, hope you can help. i have a 4yr old male german shepherd, he has always lost fluid from his penis, but it is clear to pale yellow in colour,and is usually in drops.
just recently the coulour has changed to dark red mostly still in drops, but if he lies down for a while when he gets up there will be a patch sort of.
we recently got a female german sheperd 4wks ago, she was 6wks old then.
they get along fine, but could this be a reason for the change in the fluid or not.
he is eating well and same old temprement , so dont know if i need be concerned.

Your new puppy is not the cause of this.  You need to take your male to his veterinarian. When there is red coloring to any bodily secretions, it is an indication that there it is either blood, or there is blood in the leakage. Please have him seen as soon as you can.
