jumping on strangers at the door

My 2 year old Jack Russel is fine when either my wife or I arrive home, but goes crazy when anyone else rings the bell or knocks.  She runs to the door barking and leaping on the door.  She will jump on the visitor once they are allowed in the house.  If picked up by us she goes crazy trying to get at the visitor.  What do we do?

you can teach your dog to heel. Have a choke chain on your dog with a six inch leash and everytime your dog tries to jump pull on the leash firmly, not to rough and not to soft and say HEEL and eventually your dog will get the hang of it and not jump when not allowed to.
