Growing extra toes?

19 11:45:03

Question
I will be calling my vet about this but my curiosity can't wait. My Labrador's front left "pinky" toenail is gone. In its place is a fleshy pink nub. His left "ring" toenail is still there but there is the same type of a fleshy nub growing underneath that toenail. On his right front "index" toenail I can see this fleshy nub just barely protruding. Is my dog growing new toes? I have seen torn toenails before but this seems odd.

Answer
Hi Dave;
Don't think I have ever seen that before, and have no idea what it is, but my first thought would be a tumor or something that should certainly be seen right away.
If not something that could be fatal, I am sure it is or will turn into something painful.
