Why would the AKC try to force me to sign litter papers for a breeding I had no knowledge of and would not have bred if I had knowledge of wanting the breeding.  It seems the DNA came back my dog I was only doing a favor to help breed the bitch to another friends dog.  some how my 1 yr got in the pen with these two dogs and climbed out with out anyone getting hurt the other dog was 10 .5 yrs old and very Alfa male.  I can't help thinking someone put them together without my knowledge because there was no fight and this owner has  to  work long hours before coming home to care for the dogs.  Know for a fact that the bitch owner has been to studs home by self.  Bitch owner requested DNA  I had no problem because did not believe it to be possible. But DNA doesn't lie?  How can I keep these puppy out of the show ring if AKC demands they be registered?

Hello Cathy, AKC will not make you sign anything.  That is not what they do.  The owner of the Bitch could take you to court and hold you responsible and the court could make you sign the litter papers if they find in her favor.  But AKC does not get involved in such matters. This may be what the Bitch owner is telling you but they do not.  They are a registry only.  I hope this helps, Thanks for asking Cindy lou :)
