dog eats other dog poo

QUESTION: Hi,
Scooby is a recue dog we have had for 10 weeks.
He settled in great but EVERY time I take him out he finds other dog poo and eats it.
He is fed twice a day and has treats for obedience when we go out.
Why does he insist on eting other dogs poo and can I get him to stop.

ANSWER: This is a common problem and there are pills that are made to stop this problem by making the feces taste bad to the dog,so both dogs must take the pills,they are called 'FOR-bid' or 'Dis-taste' and can be found in most petstores if you can't find either of these products tell the store staff what you are looking for

QUESTION: Hi thanks for your swift reply.
He is eating other dogs poo tho so there is no way I can doctor the dog as I have no way of knowing which dog it belongs to if you see what I mean.
Do you know of any other way?

sometimes it is a shortage of vitimin B,so giving both dogs vitimins might help as well

They best way is to give both dogs pills,I had a dog that ate both her's and the other dog's droppings as well,so the best way it to treat both dogs,even if only one dog has the problem
