Becoming a Dog Trainer

I was just looking at your list of expertise (quite impressive!) and I noticed something that I was quite interested in:

How exactly does one become an official Dog Trainer?

I love teaching people how to do things, and have enjoyed taking my 8-mo. Sheltie puppy to obedience class.  (I've even suggested things to other pet owners in the class from time to time, based on what's worked for my puppy)

Kay. First, you need to find out if your state actually does have certification for dog training. Most do not. We have an online course that is for people like you. It is book based and video based and then we have you do a little hands on where ever you live Hope that helps.
