Dog got ahold of dimetapp

My dog drank about 6tablespoons of dimetapp will
this be harmful, im not home my kids said he id acting
like he is hyper just walking around staring.

what kind of dog is it? to work out if this is toxic to your dog i need to know how much your dog weighs and how old is the dog?

does the dog have any heart condition that you know of?

If dimetapp containes pseudoephedrine then it could potentially be harmful as an overdose of this would speed up the dogs heart rate and cause high blood pressure.
