amount of sleep for dog

I have a 1 year old german shepherd. She hardly ever sleeps even at night?

Dogs are individuals, just as people are; some sleep more than others. Young puppies tend to sleep a lot, just as do old dogs. The adults will vary, particularly younger adults. Your dog probably sleeps a lot more than you think; dogs are very good at "cat naps". I am quite sure that your dog sleeps at night, but she will wake up if you get up during the night. What good is a watch dog if it sleeps through everything?<G>
