Chihuahua grooming

My mom's friend has a Chihuahua and I dogsit him many times. My question is that he needs a bath and I wanted to know if it was OK to use human shampoo 1 time only on him, is it OK?

Alyssa, You should not use a human shampoo on the dog, full strengh. You may delute in 1oz of shampoo to 10oz of water. Make sure that the shampoo is tear free and even at that try not to get it in the eyes. This may be done every 3-4 weeks but bathing more than this may dry the coat out.
