Question
I had my Scottish terrier groomed and for whatever the reason the groomer thought I wanted him cut short.  He is just under 1 yr old.  She completely cut off his apron or skirt and is not even 1/4 inch all over his body.  I was sick.  Will the hair ever grow back to be able to have a Scottie look again?

Answer
Your in luck, yes your baby will again look like a scottie. Your groomer may have been confused on the type of groom you were requesting. Make sure and call ahead and find out if the person styling your pet is familiar with the standard requirement of the breed. The coat should be set in a pattern which is short (about 1/4in) on the back, neck just stopping at the shoulder and breast bone in front. The shirt should be untouched on a pet groom. Show groom is completely hand stripped on the pattern. However, your groomer my have helped, while your scottie may look a little different right now the coat will probably come in more luscious than it was before. Don't take it to heart groomers aren't mind readers and make mistakes but most have your pets best interest at heart.
