Question
.I am at college training to be a dog groomer. I an doing course work on disposing of used waste. I wanted to know how do you dispose of used clipper oil, dog hair and disposable gloves. Thank you.

Answer
I am sorry, I am not responsible for the disposal of these products at my workplace. Also, the disposal methods and laws vary from state to state, and also depends on the product used.

Our clipper oil is a reusable jar that dissipates as it is used to the point that it is just sediment at the bottom that is just thrown away. There is no requirement for a particular disposal method as it does not contain any EPA toxins requiring a certain protocol.

This question may be better geared to an OSHA or EPA specialist. No schooling I have done has required special education on these components.

The gloves are used on the vet tech's side so you may want to pose this to a vet rather than a groomer, we need the sense of touch so we do not use gloves. We need to feel for warts, bumps, and when shampooing, any skin conditions.

Thank you.
