Expressing the rectal glands of a female poodle

How does one do this....it can't be that difficult?  Wearing latex gloves how should I press?

Answer
Hold your dog with her tail up.  On each side of the lower part of the rectum you'll feel two hard pea sized spots.  Press in and squeeze at the same time.  It can be difficult, takes some practice.  If you can't visualize what I'm trying to explain you could always get a groomer or vet to show you how they do it.  If I can be of anymore help please let me know.
