Hair on legs

Question
When grooming smaller type dogs - and generally giving a puppy cut w/# 4 thru 7 on body, how do I get the hair off the legs?  It is hard w/my smaller dogs and someone suggested using the blade going up the leg?  Would I use the next shorter blade?  Any suggestions?  I do scissoring but it gets very time consuming, I'm hoping for a solution to help w/time management.  Thanks, Betsy

Answer
Hello Betsy.
I know what you mean, I used to have the same problem. I just learned to scissor faster. But, I did work with one groomer who did the blades in reverse. She would use the same blade she would be using on the body, just angle it properly so it doesnt cut shorter, and it did a beautiful job. If you are too nervous to try using the same blade length at first, use 2 sizes bigger in reverse, and it will be the same length as on the body. (eg, if you are doing a #7 body, use a #4 reverse on the legs). I hope this was able to help you out!
