Question
How does a groomer remove wax and hair within the ear of a Yorkshire Terrier?  What are the methods used?

Answer
Hello Lynn!
The same procedure is used for any dog with hair in the ears.
I use a ear powder that makes the hair brittle and easy to grab, and pour a little bit onto the hair in the ears. Then gently pull the hairs out of the ears. Once the ears are clear of hair, I put some ear cleaner (my favorite ear cleaner is Vet Solutions Aloe ear cleaner) onto a cotton swab, and as far as my finger can reach, I clean the ear out. Never use a Q-tip in a dogs ear, because a dog can move its head, and you can cause damage to the ear! Hope that helps you out!
