eye drops

my new lhasapoo has some tearing in his eyes which leave the dreaded stain. Are there any safe and effective drops I can use?

Here's the deal- it's a chemical/Ph reaction that is from the atmosphere when the bodily fluids hit the air. The only thing available to stop it is Tylan, an antibiotic prescribed by vets sprinkled on their food. There is also a product called Angel Eyes which is basically the same thing. Over the counter.
Do you really want to subject your pup to a lifelong regiment of this stuff for a minor cosmetic flaw? Keeping the eyes flushed with eyewash- saline solution- and dry, is effective and not invasive to the body chemistry.
Keep it short and don't worry to much.
That being said- it's up to you. Talk to your vet.
