i have a flea problem and we shaved our two dogs a paplon & a chihuahua how long will it take to grow back their coats

what made you think shaving your dogs would help rid you of a flea problem???? Treating the fleas and the living space is how you take care of this but the deed being done, the answer to your question is 3-6 months.
Next time just bomb your home, wash the dogs bedding, treat the premises that are infected- look up beneficial nematodes if you own your own property, and then do it all over in 14 days after the eggs have a chance to hatch.
No need to shave your dogs. Especially since the are not long haired breeds.
regular baths will help reduce re-infestation. If you live in a warm weather climate Revolution is the preferred deterrent of choice.
