my golden retriever

I am at my wits end, my 1 year old golden, digs like there is no tomorrow, my kids can't even play in their back yard. we tried the walks and toys, coins in a can and even resorted to a zapper (we couldn't handle this) but she is still digging can you request anything i even thought of declawing but can't do it

Unfortunately goldens are famous for digging and chewing. They are extremely hot natured dogs. You may get the dog a small swimming pool so it can stay cool. The holes that are in your yard can be an attraction, try putting chicken wire over the holes and stake the sides down into the ground. The grass will grow over the wire and you can still mow over the area. But, it does detour the digging in that area. Good Luck with your dog they are truly a beautiful and devoted breed.
