dehydrating raw chicken for dogs

Question
I have a quality food dehydrator and I just purchased 40# of chicken backs and ribs.  I would like to dehydrated the non bone-in parts.  How long do I put it in the dehydrator for, please?

Answer
Good afternoon, Cynthia.

How long the dehydration process takes does depend upon the temperature you use and the size of the meat pieces you are dehydrating.  Most will take 12-24 hours at a higher temperature setting, assuming you are doing fairly small pieces.

Please note, make sure to dehydrate just the meat pieces and not the bone as the bone will become brittle and dangerous for a dog to consume.

I'm sure your dog will enjoy!
